"This is our second annual Go. Give. Grow. event. We originally designed it as a one time event to make a big impact. But it was so popular with our team and it aligned with our values so well, we decided to do it again," said Horizon Credit Union CEO, Jeff Adams.
|
|
"Go. Give. Grow. enables us to make a big impact in 13 locations all in one day, as a unified team," said Kathleen Schilb, Community Relations Administrator.
Each volunteer location was selected because the daily work they do in our communities supports the three Horizon Credit Union pillars of corporate stewardship: health, hunger and education. Each location received a $1,000 donation when the volunteer teams arrived.
"When it comes to giving back, we talk the talk. We also walk the walk. Go. Give. Grow. backs that up because we're getting out into the communities we serve. We're forming relationships by getting involved and getting out where everyone is," says VP of Marketing, Brian Grytdal.

Jodie Olson, VP of Human Resources says that Go. Give. Grow. is an opportunity for the entire employee body at Horizon to pay it forward and lean into helping others. On Go. Give. Grow. day, the whole team did just that. These numbers show the difference a day of hard work can make.

Making a difference is not just a one day event at Horizon. Volunteering and contributing to the community is an integral part of Horizon's mission.
Each employee is given up to 24 hours of paid volunteer time to use during work hours each year. Many employees also volunteer outside of work hours on their own time.
Last year, Horizon employees volunteered 6,088 hours in the areas they serve across Washington, Idaho and Montana.
